LG has introduced the new LG Transparent OLED, a transparent OLED panel for signage that has 55 inches, FHD resolution and brightness of 400 cd / m2.

The transparent OLED screen of LG is already a reality. However, we are not facing a commercial television that we can buy for home. It is a panel designed for signage, which integrates with the environment and can be used for information panels. The new LG Transparent OLED offers Full HD resolution, great color quality, a brightness of 400 cd / m2 and the commented transparency. In addition, it can be purchased with and without a frame, thus allowing a more varied use.
The LG Transparent OLED (T-OLED) allows you to see the objects that are placed behind it thanks to an optimal level of transparency. It is thus possible to play with the content broadcast on the TV to integrate it with the objects that we have on the back. Unlike other transparent screens, LG's T-OLED uses black, instead of white, as the transparent color. This has many advantages, such as the edge of the screen being almost imperceptible when there is a black background. Also, that lighter colors, such as gold or silver, attract more attention.
TRANSPARENT PANEL FOR USE IN ANY ENVIRONMENT
The LG Transparent OLED screen weighs less than 14 kg and is available in two variants: Open Frame and Standalone. The first is designed with an open frame to resemble a 55-inch glass panel. This design allows both to use the screen alone and install it on a 2xN video wall. In addition, the screen electronics can be hidden up to 1.6 meters away.
On the other hand, the Standalone mode is a unique screen with the electronics integrated into the support. Its transparency allows a lot of possibilities to display the content. For example, it can be used to superimpose titles or text on objects or scenes. Also to create an immersive experience by combining the content with the objects behind the screen.
